Terms of service

1. The agreement

By creating a Clue Stack account you agree to these house rules. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind that company.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at ishan@clue-stack.com if you believe an account has been compromised. You must be 18 or older to hold an account.

3. Your content stays yours

Room designs, puzzle sequences, solutions, hint ladders, prop records and playtest notes you put into Clue Stack remain your intellectual property. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, back up and display that content to you and the users you authorise.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not upload content you do not have the rights to.
• Do not attempt to access another customer's rooms or data.
• Do not resell, sublicense or white label Clue Stack without a written agreement.
• Do not use the service to build or coordinate anything unlawful or unsafe.
• Do not probe, scrape or load test our systems without permission.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans bill monthly or annually in advance per location and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the paid period. We do not pro rate partial months. Beta pricing, once granted, stays fixed for the life of that account.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible and scheduled away from peak game night hours.

7. Safety disclaimer

Clue Stack is a design and management tool. It does not certify, inspect or guarantee the physical safety, fire compliance or emergency egress of any room. Those responsibilities stay with you and your local regulator.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend accounts that breach these rules or create risk for other customers, with notice where practical. You may close your account at any time and export your data before or after doing so.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost bookings or reputational harm.

10. Changes

We will email account owners at least 30 days before any material change to these terms. Continuing to use Clue Stack after that date means you accept the update.
