Privacy and data

Who we are

Clue Stack is operated by Ishan Mera and was founded in 2025. For any privacy question or request, write to ishan@clue-stack.com.

What we collect

  • Account data. Name, email, company name, venue count and billing details. Billing is processed by our payment provider and we never store full card numbers.
  • Room data. The sequences, solutions, props, hint ladders and playtest notes you create.
  • Usage data. Page views, feature usage, error logs and device information, used to fix bugs and prioritise work.
  • Support correspondence. Emails you send us and our replies.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
  • We do not use your room designs, solutions or playtest data to train machine learning models.
  • We do not share your room content with other customers, ever.
  • We do not run third party advertising trackers on clue-stack.com.

Why we process it

To provide the service you signed up for, to bill you, to support you, to keep the platform secure and to improve the product. Where the law requires consent, for example optional product emails, we ask first and you can withdraw at any time.

Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access by our team is limited to what support requires and is logged. Solution content carries an extra permission layer inside your own workspace so you can restrict which staff see answers.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. After closure, room data is retained for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently deleted. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data and object to certain processing. Email us and we will action verified requests within 30 days. Full room export as JSON and PDF is available inside the product at any time without asking us.

Sub processors

We use a small number of vendors for hosting, payment processing, email delivery and error monitoring. A current list is available on request and all of them are bound by data processing agreements.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions and a privacy respecting measure of page traffic. No advertising or cross site tracking cookies are set.

Changes

Material changes are emailed to account owners before they take effect.
